Belated Awards Post

So, Gryffindork and DSLady’s mega awards posts led me to remember that I had another nomination, and completely spaced on posting about it.

So we have 2 x Versatile Blogger awards, from Tiny Piglet and Fluffymao. Thanks guys, I apologise for the uber long wait for this post.

The rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you (tick)
  2. Share the award on your blog (tick)
  3. Share seven random facts about yourself
  4. Tag 10 bloggers with less than 1000 followers and let them know they have been nominated (not doing this, since it’s been so damn long, and everyone I wanted to nominate has already been)

Seven Random Facts:

  1. I’m super into soccer/football. Play every week, in an amateur league, and always enjoy myself so much. I also follow Sydney FC, from the A-League, and West Ham, from the EPL. And, of course, the Australian national team.
  2. I just finished my degree! Come graduation in September, I will officially be the proud owner of a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Professional Accounting.
No, I’m not going to be an accountant, it was just the best fit for me to major in.
  3. My favourite movie genre is comic book movies (it’s totally a genre). Mainly Marvel universe, though I’m no opposed to the DC ones (they’re just not as good).
  4. I have written fan fiction; in the past I used to do so quite often. My old account is here – I joined in 2000, so my usernumber is very low! Haven’t written anything in years, though my new obsession with Guardians of the Galaxy is threatening to bring me out of ‘retirement’.
  5. I met a bunch of my current friends through fandoms/fan fiction writing – we would congregate on forums and beta-read one another’s work, and it slowly morphed into talking on MSN/Skype, and then into the real world.
  6. I don’t really believe in OTP (one true pairing, for the non-fandom among us). Oh, I’ll usually have a preferred pairing, but will read/write a bunch of different things.
  7. I have really bad hayfever, and am allergic to dust, pollen and pet dander. Even going into a pet store can send me into a sneezing fit.
Which is why my dog is a Maltese x chihuahua that doesn’t shed.

And Sam (Gryffindork) has also instituted a new award, the Memory Lane Challenge! Which is a whole different thing to the others we’ve seen, so yay.

1. Congratulations! You’ve been nominated for a totally legit award. Get a gold star and stick it on your forehead like a boss.
2. Share FIVE of your favourite moments from your legacy/challenge/story so far.
3. Nominate 3-5 blogs to do the same.

#1 Arise, Frankenstein!

My first ever time creating a simbot! And the first occult points of this legacy, beginning my quest to get all the occults.

#2 Sad Wedding

When her husband died the day before their son’s wedding, Cosette couldn’t bring herself to join the festivities. So she watched from afar.
Totally autonomous, but I love how it all fits.

#3 Cosette’s Party Exit

She was one of my favourite sims (thus far) in this legacy, and it was totally fitting that Cosette should die in the middle of a party, surrounded by friends and family. Cosette lived to 138, the oldest human sim I have ever had in my game.

#4 Hunger Strike

My first ever protest (a hunger strike) also encapsulated a paparazzi death, and a townie going into labour. And the snow melted away during the protest as well. So many events in one afternoon!

#5 Beach Wedding

We’ve had a lot of weddings in this legacy, but Hannah and Riff Raff’s is my favourite. If/when I get married, I want it to be like this, on a beach with only family attending.

My nomimees (not linked because it’s late and I’m exhausted):

  • Voguishstorm
  • Tiny Piglet
  • earthqueenami

About somebodysangel13

I love sports, reading and computer games. Bit of a paradox, I guess. Also a loner, always find it easier to communicate online than face to face.

  1. Oh God, now I have to think of five moments! How does one choose?
It’s true Riff and Hannah’s wedding was gorgeous.
So if you’re not to be an accountant, what is it you are going to be?

    • I know, it’s so difficult to pick just 5. But a lot of fun to go through all the old photos – I’d suggest grabbing out moments as you find them, then narrowing it down later.

Haha, I’m still deciding what I want to be! Or if indeed I need my job title to define myself – stats say that we Gen Y will have multiple career changes in a lifetime, so maybe my job is just the thing I do to earn money at the moment.

  2. Congratulations, you special snowflake! ^_^ And no worries on late awards, I think I’ve lost 1 or 2 in the comments over the posts.

This new award sounds like fun! I’m dredging up old screenshots trying to pick 5 moments.

  3. This looks like a fun award. I agree with Voguishstorm Riff and Hannah’s wedding was gorgeous. I need to do one in one of my legacies.
Right, I’m off to narrow it down to five moments.

    • The wedding was spur of the moment, and actually caused a whole lot less headache than other, more organised ones. If there are no chairs, then there’s no angst when sims don’t sit in them 😉
